Mine has two receivers and one sensor Review by Banjotux

I bought this I/O thermometer a few years ago from Klockit, but they do not seem to carry it anymore. Mine has two receivers and one sensor. Inside the receiver is the model number 00782, which led me here. It has the same model number, but it looks different. The two numbers are displayed one on top of the other instead of side by side.

I really like having two receivers, one for each bathroom.

Mine seems to work just like the one described here, even though it looks different. Great, simple thermometer. It just shows the temperatures and doesn't try to predict the weather or the movement of the stock market. It uses AAA batteries instead of those horrid button cells.

I just replaced the batteries that I put in on March 6, 2013, so they lasted just over a year. (Posted on 6/14/14)
Works great until batteries freeze, every week or so. Review by Tom

I've used this for a few years. At first, the remote batteries lasted a few months. Now they last a week or two depending on temps. Today, I put in new batteries and still cannot measure exterior temps; won't readout. Can anybody suggest one that works best in sub-zero temps, probably without batteries in a remote sensor? Just replaced the batterys in the remote sensor after a year. I have had several other brands of these over the years. Some very complex and complicated. This little unit is great. Does what you want it to do and is economical. (Posted on 2/23/13)

Ok -- I got the thing a long time ago --- and the battery finally gave out on the remote --- the problem is I can't remember where I put it ---
so add a a chirp noise to the remote like the smoke detectors have .... (Posted on 2/22/13)
Love these I/O Therms Review by Geo

These are perfect---I have one sitting on my thermostat in the house--so I immediately know the outside temperature. (56F out there this am) I have one on the underside of my motorhome(in the shade) so I know the temps inside & out. I recently bought a spare --because I have noticed they are getting harder to find. Walmart used to carry them--my last one I found & bought in IL at a Farm & Fleet. Never thought about using one in RV refridge--great idea--guess I'll have to get another spare.
P.S. To the guy who has to replace batteries every couple weeks---get a new one---you have a dud there---my batteries last for a year or more.
ACURITE--please don't stop making this model> Geo (Posted on 10/15/12)

I have had this indoor/outdoor thermometer for years. I give them for gifts. I am having a hard time finding them in the store, hence look online. The size is so small, just the perfect size. I don't want a clock, or it telling me what to wear. This is the best. I don't know what the other review is talking about eating up batteries. They last a year or more. Please do not do away with this model (Posted on 9/24/12)

I use one to monitor the fridge temp in my camper while on the road -- a job no other product will do as well! And the price is right! (Posted on 8/18/12)
Works great, but..... Review by Sparky

I have no complaints with the accuracy or functionality, but... it eats up batteries in the remote sensor at an alarming rate. I have to put in a set of batteries every two weeks. (Posted on 1/19/12)

We have had ours for a couple of years and it worked all through the last winter. 2011 Oklahoma winter worst I ever seen (BLIZZARD HERE, YES!) I will gladly replace with a new one when needed. (Posted on 11/26/11)
