I bought this as a gift for myself and it has been working now for about 6 days. It is great - it reads an accurate outside temperature and quickly picks up on the ever changing weather conditions here. I especially like the simple graphics and the forecaster. For an inexpensive item, it is real nice.

Of all the portable weather stations I have owned this one seems to be the best so far. I love the idea that they put a built in learning mode into the unit , which makes the unit get smarter as days goes by. Works great for me.

The temp never reads more then +/-2 degrees different then the local weather, even when it was -17 degrees out.

I use this outside the kids room. When they want to wear shorts, I tell them to go see what the boy is wearing. If he is wearing shorts, they can. (Posted on 5/1/12)

I received a replacement unit last week or so… I bought some new batteries for the remote and powered both units on and the remote registered almost immediately and so far things are working fine… I recall the first unit didn’t seem to want to communicate right from the get go, so hopefully this is a good sign with the replacement. It connected right off the bat..

these things are so cool… I’m hopeful this will last for some time… it’s so nice to just walk over to the wall and look at the outside temp… I don’t have to turn on a weather radio, hit the internet, turn on the weather channel or go outside etc…the outside dial thermometer used to get covered in ice and snow until it blew what I had it attached to and the sun would affect it’s accuracy.. the electronic one is just so simple… that’s the coolest part… something that makes my life simpler is always a plus…
