A wealth of information! Review by Jeffrey J.
Value The Acu-Rite 00634 Weather Station is a very nice unit for the price. I like all of the features and only wish the display was lighted. The main unit is the right size and nice looking. The outdoor unit sensor seems well built for the elements and I mounted mine 3 feet above my bird feeders on the feeder pole. The birds don't seem to mind the anemometer spinning around! Wonderful unit, amazingly accurate Review by randy
Value I received a unit for christmas and was so impressed I purchased another for our trailer at a private park. The 00634A1 is easy to install. The accuracy is equal to the National Weather Service. (Posted on 1/16/13)

Excellent weather station! Review by Steven S.
Value Received this for Christmas and installed on New Years Day. The future forecast has been amazingly accurate as we have had eight days of continuously changing weather and is still going through the "learning mode". I really like the amount of information and features from this unit including the atomic clock, moon phase, barometric pressure, and wind speed. Measurements have been very close w/in a percent or two from other weather stations in the area. I like having this device in our kitchen to see indoor humidity and temperature along with the outdoor readings and gives me the ability to plan my day with confidence. Great weather station and highly recommended. (Posted on 1/11/13)

The most accurate readings at its price Review by NOAA Mount Holly, NJ Meteorologist Steve A.
Value For a low priced weather station it has superior accuracy, too achieve the most accurate wind speed's I recommend to place the sensor at a great deal of height, preferably at least 5ft. above the ground or upon a rooftop, temperatures slightly differ when placed on a roof but only by ~1.5 degrees. The relative humidity readings are very accurate within 2% of the actual percentage, the barometric pressure on the other hand you MUST wait to be accurate as the station has a 14 day learning mode, which determines your altitude, which really doesn't have too much to do with forecasting the weather it just basicly determines the barometric pressure which is vital in predicting weather conditions. In my opinon the forecasts are usually accurate(75%), but I don't believe it has to do mostly with the "algorithm" having to do with the relation between temperature and barometric pressure it mostly has to do with the pressure, as for example sometimes when everyday usual changes occur such as drops and rises a small sudden drop by .06 Inhg could trigger a mostly cloudy or rain forecast icon ut otherwise the forecast is generally accurate an example would be one day snow was forecasted for my area as I had woken up i looked at my station which indicated heavy snow (the flashing snow icon) and to my suprise the atmosphere was clear and blue with few cirrus clouds, 2 hours later it started to snow at a moderate rate and as I stared at the station it suddenly turned to a wintry mix alert icon and again to my suprise it turned into a wintry mix, compared to the forecasts of my davis vantage pro 2 the forecasts are much more accurate, and the atomic clock gets its signal overnight. great Review by romoelaf
Value Very accurate wind speed after mounting the sensor on a ten foot PVC pole. We live on a lake with very strong wind gust, I can't wait to see the real speeds after Sandy's high winds blew through here in the GREAT LAKES AREA.

A OK Review by Frog
Value Set was quick, compared reading to weather radio, close and has not had the full 15 day learning curve, next one will be with rain gauge. (Posted on 12/7/12)

Fabulous Product, Couldn't Be Happier! Review by CD318
Value I dreaded getting one of these weather stations---all I thought about was the set-up and product quality.
I could not be happier!! Set-up consisted of installing batteries in the transmitter and receiver--that's it! The atomic clock is deadly accurate and just made the appropriate time change for Daylight savings time. Two screws into the side of a 4X4 post that was out in my yard, and bingo--you've got your very own home weather station. The instructions say to keep the transmitter within 100 ft of the receiver, but my signal is excellent and the unit works perfectly at a further distance.
Enjoy--you won't regret it!

Way Cool Review by Lisa R.
Value As easy and cool as they claim. The all in one outdoor sensor mounted on PVC pipe doesn't distract from my landscaping. The wireless range is great (>100ft adverstised). Remember to buy Lithium AA batteries for the outdoor sensor if you live in a cold climate. How did I live without wind speed?

Stay with Acurite, you can't go wrong Review by Mary
Value I have had two other Acurite products for many years and they are still functioning, one sensor display is gone but it still sends a great signal and I can read it on the monitor inside my home. This Acu-rite 2 way wireless weather forecaster does all that I want, chill factors, barometric pressures, histories, forecasts, moon-phases, heat index, dew point, wind speed and wind speed peaks and average, temperature highs and lows as well as history for 12 hours, humidity inside and out, temperature inside and out,the date, and of course time set to the atomic clocks in Colorado. I looked at an up and coming product from another company but the reviews were not so good, so I stayed with Acu-Rite I don't think you'll go wrong if you do the same. (Posted on 6/15/12)

Great unit for the price Review by Norsky
Value This ACU-RITE 634 weather station works great as advertised. I've had it running now since Christmas day and it was easy to set up and I'm having no problems. The outside (and inside) sensors seems to be very sensitive and accurate. The inside display show a lot of info, although it would have been nice if the "history" feature was a little more precise. If you have lower temps outside (<35 degrees) use LIthium batteries in the outside sensor as the battery condition indicator on the inside unit flashes "Low Battery" if you use alkaline batts. A few things to think about are that the inside unit does not have a lighted screen, you don't get wind direction or a rain sensor, and you don't get pc connectivity. If you want any of those things look at a more expensive unit. Otherwise it's a great unit for the price! (Posted on 1/18/12)

I think I have found the perfect solution Review by Texas Kitchen
Value Our weather here in the middle of Texas is constantly changing. The weatherman have very little chance of getting it right everyday. I have a memory of going to school in the morning and it was 80 degrees. By 10:00 we were sent home because it was snowing. Needless to say I have been on a quest to find a better weatherman ever since.I think I have found the perfect solution. AcuRite is a wonderful company that sells amazingly accurate weather stations for home use. The one I received is super easy to install and really simple to use. It has a large digital display that is so self explanatory even those with no technological expertise can tell the forecast and weather with ease. It has been really nice to know the wind speed as well as wind chill before I go outside to feed the animals. No more walking out the front door and getting surprised by a chill ya to the bone breeze. I love my weather station and think these are great gift ideas. (Posted on 10/31/11)
