Great product that's easy to set-up with excellent display of weather information... Review by TX-Sun Steve
I had a competitive product that failed after less than a month of use. And as a result of using the Internet to search for and investigate potential solutions to resolve the issue, I found there were many others having the same issue with the same product per my experiences.

This, and all the very positive on-line reviews (for the AcuRite system), led me to purchase the AcuRite Weather Station. It was by far easier to set-up, more accurate (especially in near-term weather forecasting), as well as more feature rich than the competitive unit I was replacing. I could go on and on about all of the pluses per the AcuRite Weather Station, versus its competition.
I truly love the product. (Posted on 1/30/14)
Good Features for the Money Review by Snake
Purchased the product for a fishing camp because it has a barometric pressure reading. After approximately nine months, the display screen failed. I called customer service and they instructed me on how to reset the display screen. I tried the reset button, changed the batteries, and even changed the display zone but could not get the display screen to activate. I called customer service back the next day and informed them what I did to try to reactivate the display screen. They said I had a defective unit and would send me another one at no cost. I have received the new unit and have it running at home. I will bring it to the fishing camp and give it another try. (Posted on 1/14/14)
Sensor failed they would not replace it Review by Unhappy customrer
Purchased the product approximately six months ago. Worked well at the beginning, but then the sensor stopped working. Tried reset and replaced the battery still to no avail. Called customer service and they would not replace the sensor because I did not have a paper receipt. Avoid the product and the brand. Their warranty is specifically designed to assure that you never get the replacement. Very unreliable outdoor sensor. One of the main reasons they sell the individually. (Posted on 11/25/13)
Really Like This One!!! Review by P
We have two other AcuRite weather stations and really like this one. We like the way the display is set up, what is displayed and the 3 future forecasts-current to 4 hour, 4-8 hour and 8-12 hour. This unit seems VERY accurate, didn't take a lengthy time to learn and is pretty easy to use. Just right and moderately priced. The only thing we would have liked is if this were available in white. All three weather stations we have use the same sensor, so we only needed to put up one (saving on batteries) and will save the other 2 sensors for spares, if needed. We also like the fact that it is not lit up at night; great, if you want it in the bedroom, yet a touch of the button and it is momentarily lit. We like the viewing angle adjustable stand. Almost perfect! Would purchase again!

Good buy! Review by Kevin Owensby
This is a good buy, but unfortunately it's a bit hard to see from different angles and it loses time quickly. The forecast is fairly accurate, and the information is very handy! I'd recommend it to my friends and family interested in having a weather station that doesn't require much outside hardware or maintenance. Make sure to experiment with different regions if you're close to two regions and your forecast isn't even close to being accurate after the learning period of the unit. (Posted on 7/24/13)
Appealing to the eye Review by Brian
I bought this product for my child which has become a family item. Saves time when deciding to look for appropriate clothing and avoids unnecessary drama. Only thing I do not like is that there is not a battery life indicator. However, it is not a product that drains batteries quickly. I have only replaced the batteries that came with the package which was 4 months ago.

Wireless Weather Receiver Review by Sunny Florida
We love this weather forecaster. It gives us the temperature inside and out and the humidity inside and out. Tracks the date. Just love it! Gave it as a gift to our son and he loves it as well. (Posted on 6/18/13)
Good Product Review by GypsyDave
Very accurate once you establish a good mounting location for the remote sensor. It seems to work best if located away from the surface of the house such as the outer edge of a porch roof in a shady place. The remote is sensitive enough that mounted above mounting on the outside wall of an enclosed porch it would still pick up temperature from the porch and reflected heat of the deck. After relocating it works perfect. (Posted on 6/3/13)
great unit - excellent customer service!! Review by John - Ontario, Canada
The first unit I got didn't keep time (lost approx. 5min. /week. Emailed Acurite and got a replacement unit in about a week from my first email. Great product! Excellent customer service.
Thanks guys!!

on the downside..... included with the new unit was a chance at the sweepstakes which ended Apr. 30 2013. I didn't receive it until second week of May....LOL! (Posted on 5/20/13)
Follow-up on 02010 Review by Darrell
Purchased a model 02010 Weather Forecaster in January 2012, so it now has over a year's worth of full-time operation. Our location is the northern plains, so it has measured a wide variety of weather extremes. It has performed flawlessly and is still operating on the originally installed batteries!! It needs to be said that the backlite function is seldom used. Our NWS office is nearby and I find the temp, humidty and barometer readings spot on with what they report. The forecasting section is generally quite close to what the NWS predicts, but there is some variance. I find that it's forecast updates often throughout the day. Excellent weather device for the money. (Posted on 4/3/13)

Great weather station, easy to see screen, Acurate, I Love it ! Can't find anymore at Costco in Montreal. (Posted on 3/18/13)
Excellent for the price Review by Atlantic Newfie
Bought at Costco - oct 2012-great deal for the price. So far in winter months about 95% close to 4-8 hr prediction. Read thru user manual and minor changes to to the humidity level needed. Too bad it cannot predict snow accumulations...but that will be asking a lot that one can not predict .
Other than that great deal and worth $28.00 can (Posted on 2/17/13)
readings accurate, forecast a bit off Review by Mewna
I have just purchased my unit at Costco and the temp and humidity readings are very close to what my local weather station says. However the precipitation forecast has been predicting 99% pop which is not even close to correct. Probably needs a bit of calibrating but I can't figure out how to get the forecast calibration feature to work. Anyone? (Posted on 11/13/12)
Very Impressive Weather Station! Review by SunnyMike
I have had my weather station for nearly a year and was so impressed with it I purchased two more for family and friend! I would say that the unit is about 80 % correct with the forecast or higher! I would also recommend buying at Costco in Ontario outlets because the price is $28.99, which is quite a saving from website! (Posted on 9/4/12)

Wow Review by Gerry
Saw this unit at Costco for about $28 but really didn't expect much. I was quite surprised. It's been working flawlessly and forecasts the weather quite accurately (not totally perfect but then who can?).

It took a few days to properly calibrated itself and I did find that the sensor's location makes a world of difference. I hung the sensor under the soffit of my detached garage.

I compare the online weather reports for my area and the Acurite unit's temperature is within a few degrees of the local weather station. The himidity and pressure are very accurate.

There's no need to spend hundreds of dollars, this unit does all the basics.

Too bad there wasn't an option to monitor more locations. (Posted on 6/20/12)
Excellent Value Review by William
Easy set-up, and easy to use manual. This unit has been very accurate in North Georiga especially at predicting rain. Purchased in Feb 2012 at BJ's for $29.00 - which is a great price for this type of unit. I have other units that did not perform as well as this one and only lasted from one to two years before having problems. I am convinced that this unit will raise the bar. I do enjoy being able to look at this devise and see the outside temperature and humidity before going out.
I would recommend this unit to other consumers because it is performing very well to date..

Today's forecast is ..... Review by Cloudy with a chance of returning the item
The unit worked great in the beginning and seemed to perform without a hitch. After about a month I noticed that the system was reporting 17.xx for barometric pressure. I would hit reset which would correct the problem for another week, but then right back to the 17's, which would forecast nothing but cloudy/rainy days, when in fact the sun was shining for a week at 75 degress'. While I am totally satisified with the unit, Costco had great pricing, just wish it would be more accurate, for my location and altitude. (Posted on 5/11/12)
Average Review by Blaine
Bought the unit and had it operating. Took the outside monitor unit back into the house and found over time that the inside and outside humidity measurements now differ by 4% (outdoor reads higher). Begs the question of why the difference? What can be done to ensure calibration? (Posted on 3/24/12)
Excellent Review by ep
I didn't see any 14 day learning period. The only thing is the Geo zones seem a bit off. Toronto is supposed to be "D" but that seems to produce almost constant rain/snow forcasts whereas "C" zone seems to produce better forcasts but a little too dry. I particularily like the fact it provides indoor/outdoor temp. and humidity as well as barometric pressure and trends for all as well as hi and low predictions. For $27 at Costco, it's great. Great Instrument Review by Jules
Purchased mine Feb 5, 2012 at Costco in Winnipeg Manitoba, way cheaper than online price. This is my fourth weather station/forecaster in the past eleven years and this one is far the best. I had a problem with the unit providing an accurate forecast so I called the Customer Care Ph# in the Instruction manual, in short they made it right. Although this unit is very inexpensive, its one of those purchases that you feel good about after using it because it is such good value for the money. I am already looking for more gadgets on Acurites website

ACU-RITE 02010-RX Review by JOHN
Just purchase unit and very impressed on how well the unit works!
I had purchased a similiar device for my father for Christams and couldn't believe how complicated it was to set up compared to Acu-rite in a mater of minute's this was setup and providing me information.
One review advise that their was a 14 day learning mode I did not see this in any information but I would think that this unit would get more accurate in time measuring weather patterns in location unit is setup to provide information.

Christmas gift ... Forcaster not close ... rest works great Review by Royal Coachman
Everything works great, but the forecasting portion has not been even close since I got it. I have tried 4 different 'geo' settings without favorable results. Have not been able to find a link to customer support. Anyone have any suggestions? (Posted on 1/23/12)
Great Product Review by Darrell
Well done AcuRite, the weather station arrived within four days after placing the order online! It began functioning immediately after installing the batteries and was very easy to set up thereafter. It's been a month now and no glitches whatsoever. The forecasting operation is described as being around 75% accurate but, based on my experience, I'd place it in the upper 80 percentile range. More often than not, the other measurements it makes are spot on with those provided by our local National Weather Service office. On the negative side, the screen is somewhat difficult to read unless you're perfectly lined up in front of it. Not a big deal, but it can be a pain in the butt when you just want to take a quick glance! Though not limited to AcuRite products, it would be nice if the outdoor sensor was weather-proof instead of just resistant. Here in the northern plains, nasty rain and snowstorms are going to impact it unless it would be totally enclosed in something. That certainly wouldn't work. Will wait to see how it survives. Aside from these two concerns, still would highly recommend the unit. (Posted on 1/14/12)

Works great and very accurate in determining the weather in the next 12 hours. It also is very accurate on the humidity, barometric pressure and temperature. I am extremely happy I bought this and bought one for my mother as a gift - I know she will be pleased. (Posted on 12/3/11)

Good Review by LD
Product is good, but I wish the weather history chart had the choice between a celcius/fehrenheit mode. After all, you can set the Min./Max to either. Seems you would want the entire display to be one or the other. (Posted on 10/11/11)
Curious Review by Wayneman123-Canada
I really like this unit, still learning everything on the screen but was easy to setup. I have one question if anybody can answer, what MHZ does it transmitt at, most I have found are 433MHZ or 915MHZ

Excellent Review by Harvey
For the price and ease of setup excellent. Mine only has a 4 hour learning period. No where in the manual did I see a 14 day learning period as mentioned by the first reviewer.
Costco buys the products by the thousands. I kind of think that the price would be lower. (Posted on 9/8/11)
Weather Forcaster model 02010 Review by Terry
Above here it says that it will be out of stock in October....not available from Oct.
I bought mine from Canadian Tire and paid 49.99. Costco is an American outfit and they get their stock a lot cheaper and that's why they can pass on the savings to us in Canada. I did see it at Costco after I bought mine and it's identicle to the one I got. Mine never went into the learning mode. I like mine. There is one part that I don't understand the bottom section, >4 hr, >> 4-8 hr >>> 8 - 12 hr shows that it could rain, etc. Our weather for the past 2 weeks hasn't had a drop of rain in our area. First 14 days "learning mode" so far so good ! Review by Ross-Canada
I just bought this unit last week and it is still in "14 days learning mode". So far everything works OK . I would prefer more narrow black frame around the LCD display .I think it would looks more modern ( hi-tech) and "trend" arrows on the display are so small, you need magnifying glass to see them.
I paid in Costco in Canada $26.99 , but this unit price listed on this factory website is $ 59.99, so I don"t know if Costco is selling some "B" class items or what?
According to this company web site this unit will be available from October 2011,but I just bought it now in August 2011.? ? ? It makes me a little bit suspicious. (Posted on 8/19/11)
