Great Features Review by roper407
Easy to set up and use (Posted on 4/29/16)
Works well. Review by Z'evaSara
This is its first day of duty. I installed batteries in both the sensor and display units, then hung the sensor outside( under my deck on an outer support beam, facing north). Went back inside. The inside temperature was within a degree of my thermostat reading the humidity reading agreed with an independent sensor in the room, but the outside temperature registered about 15 -20 degrees too warm for how it felt out there, even after 10 minutes. After fiddling with the buttons on the display unit to no avail, I removed the batteries and then reinstalled them. Magic! Within a few minutes, the display showed an outside temperature that was within two degrees and a humidity reading within 5% of what the Internet showed for my zip code.( Of course, an "official" area reading is really only for conditions at the exact spot where the weather instruments are placed. How shaded the instruments are and the amount of plant cover in the area can affect their readings.)
So, this instrument seems to be a success. Hopefully, it will work as well in rain, snow, and fog. If you don't hear from me again - no news will be good news!

Best toy ever Review by Karen
This thermometer is the best ever. It was really easy to set up and by the time I hung the remote outside, the temperature was adjusting on the inside. This is like my new toy. This is so neat as I step into the kitchen where it is hanging and can read the outside temperature. I know how heavy of a coat I need to wear for the 5 am ride into work (Norfolk, VA). I don't know why I didn't buy this thermometer in the first place instead of the $1.98 one which hangs outside and kept falling off the kitchen window. I also think this will be the new present to give to my friends for birthdays and Christmas. Very happy with this product. (Posted on 3/28/15)
Exotically what I wanted Review by Daniel
Works as advertised. Simple to set-up and very accurate - tested with several validated devices. (Posted on 9/30/14)
Works Great until I move to a Rainy climate Review by Nick the fish
Dido to it works great. and reasonably priced. Also, would love to find a version that could deal with multiple remote sensors. But unfortunately, after two years of ownership I put the probe outside and we had a lot of rain. The probe did not seal out the water and was soaked. Dried it out for a few day but the humidity sensor was off by 13 degrees. Needs to be water proof. Good news is I ordered a replacement and at all works fine again ... (Posted on 7/19/13)
Good unit Review by David
Works great. Reasonable price for what it does. Would love to find a version that could deal with multiple remote sensors. Obvious use could be upstairs, downstairs, house front, back, even attic & crawlspace. Would be very useful to understand and improve house climate/efficiency.

Nice unit Review by Jerbear
Have had this unit for over a year. It give accurate temp and humidity indoors and out. I like how simplistic and modern it looks and works. No frills just the facts and it works just fine. Batteries last for a long long time.

Very nice system. I may buy another one. (Posted on 10/29/12)
Works As Expected Review by JimH
Small, clear display, reasonably accurate and responsive. Could not have asked for more.
The humidity changes when humidifier comes online.
A clock would have been good specially for time stamping min and max readings.

Nice Display Review by NW shopman
Have had the AcuRite Indoor/Outdoor thermometer about a month now. Works well. Easy to install the outdoor sensor sending unit. It's pretty accurate. Within about a degree or two with the local airport weather station report (2 miles from my home). Humidity indicated does vary a large amount though... during the middle of the day it's within a few % of the local weather report, but in early morning always shows 98% (maximum). This could be due to the fact I have the sensor placed within a few feet of the ground and it's registering the dew point close to the surface. Overall am pleased with the unit, hoping that it maintains the accuracy and that the batteries last for approx. a year (unknown at this point).

Very Pleased Review by Greg and Bev
We have an older model and we have been using for over e years. Still have not changed the batteries, but used the recommended lithium batteries and everything is fine. As far as accuracy ..... it is "pretty dog gone close", Again you must take some variables into consideration....what are you comparing the temperature to and from what location. All in all I would recommend this unit to anyone. (Posted on 7/8/12)
The hygrometer is fairly accurate, if you know how to test it Review by Jesse G Kaltenberg
I got this weather station and it at first seemed that the hygrometer was inaccurate. This was based on comparing my reading to local weather station readings online. Most were not even close. The problem is that relative humidity is highly variable, and can change greatly depending on many factors, including the amount of grass and vegitation around your transmitter, soil moisture content, etc. The true way to test the accuracy is to determine the wet bulb temperature in your immediate vicinity. Along with the temperature, you can calculate what the relative humididty should be. After trying this, I found that accuracy of the hygrometer to be pretty much as described on the package (+-5%). Temperature is half the story Review by RosieandMe
I have had numerous wireless thermometers and they were all good but living in California the humidity is as important as the temperature, it tells me the fire danger in addition to comfort level. The display is excellent, it's not necessary to toggle between indoor and outdoor and the display is very large, nice. We have two. (Posted on 1/26/12)
