Great product! Review by Josh
My 5-in-1 was given to me needing new wind cups and a new display since the previous one was missing. Thankfully I had a friend with an extra display and was able to help me get the wind cups. To this day I've had it here at home or mobile on my truck with the Midwest Storm Spotters League and our team of spotters and storm chasers. It's been highly accurate, durable and a joy to have around here at home. Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to the USB connect display someday so I can upload live data. Would recommend this equipment to anyone! (Posted on 8/24/15)
Nice Weather Station Review by Henry
Bought one for our house and another for a gift. The recipient is an older man whose life opened up a whole new chapter with this weather station ! I never knew that so many people were weather watchers ! AcuRite is partly responsible for this. I am impressed by the fact that serious storm chasers find the accuracy of the 1010 sensors to be second-to-none. Other reviewers vouch for AcuRite's great customer support. Still others share their enjoyment of some of the other AcuRite weather stations that have bright and cheerful displays. As a longtime weather enthusiast, I still have hard-wired anemometers and wind vanes sensors on our roof, but wireless is the way to go ! I can't wait to see what exciting new weather station AcuRite is going to develop next which no doubt will be appreciated by housewifes, storm chasers, farmers, and all those who love the weather. Thanks AcuRite ! (Posted on 10/12/14)
Not very durable and short lived Review by Jay
I have owned the model 01010 for less than two years. After having the unit for only a couple of months it stopped communication. The unit had to be returned for repair. Shortly after a year old, a bird landed on the wind cups and broke one. I was told I had to purchase($30) and replace the whole wind cup assembly. Now I see you can purchase just the cups for $5. Recently, I noticed the temperature was 83 degrees and the humidity 76% for several days. Reset the indoor unit and now the temp is -40 degrees and the humidity is 1%. So I guess now it has a problem with the temp and humidity board. I guess I will be told I will have to buy a new 5-n-1 sensor to fix it ($80). Waiting to hear from support (Posted on 10/5/14)
Super Product Review by Guff
I love that it is wireless too! I also agree that it isn't AC for the base unit! I report to a local tv station and NWS too! Keep up the great products

Amazing Product and Customer Service Review by Stephen
I have had my 5-1 for a few years now and love it. Very accurate and very easy to install. When the humidity sensor went out - Acurite was on top of it and got me a new sensor within a few days.

I was at Home Depot and someone was looking at an Acurite product - I told them there is no better product and no better customer service. He put it in his cart right away. (Posted on 7/2/14)
Works as advertised. Review by Bob
Great unit, the 5 in 1 is a superb sensor, well thought out and a charm to install. I come from another competitor's product (I won't name them but their name begins with an 'L'). This unit installed easily, by the time I came back into the house the receiver had connected and all sensors worked. What a thrill. Great product, great company (for designing what they set out to do). I like that it is expandable, and parts are available. Now to settle down and enjoy this unit.
I would recommend this to anyone looking into this type product. (Posted on 6/15/14)

3 years now Review by huckleberry hill
Had it for 3 years . 5 weeks old the anemometer quit working . Contacted acu rite , they sent a replacement and it has been working fine since then . If it fails I will purchase one exactly like . I have had 2 other brands prior and they don't come close to this one . (Posted on 4/12/14)
Best Station For the money and company Review by bscruggs0
To start, I've owned this weather station for about 2.5 years and have been buying from acu-right for all of my other weather stations. This is one of the best weather stations I've ever owned, period. Its very user friendly, and sets up within a matter of 15 minutes which it then starts to display your current weather. Best feature is how it self calibrates for your location for the most accurate readings. To really make this station the top, they added the internet bridge which wirelessly beams the data every 15 minutes online to your weather provider of choice (mines wunderground) or you can go to their own made website for the weather data. Overall, I honestly have no complaints of the weather station at all, and hope that as newer versions come out, they still have the awesome reliability and style that they currently have now. definetly worth the money, you can't go wrong!!! Only thing they should fix is the display should have a light, and a way to lock the rain gauge when moving the station so it doesn't track the "rain" Such a fantastic product and awesome company! Acru Rite is my go to products while in field work~~ Review by Francis C. Uy
Hello all,
My name is Francis C. Uy (KC9ZSC) I am avid storm spotter for northern IL, and Meteorology major student in College course work. When i am i out in field for motioning work for SKYWARN/ NWS Chicago i rely heavily on Acu Rite products. I currently run this product base line with Acu link PC Bridged display mounted to my radio command counsel in car. Again for the prices compared to others.. You can not go wrong. Besides i have in prior experiences sat though a RFD twice and survived with it on cars roof. ( Rear flank down draft) Also noted my setup comprises of a 4x4 platform weather p proofed painted and four 95 Lbs Magnets and Emerson Action camera in front of my Acu rite station. Anyway Acu rite you never fail me when i need you and you'll always be part of my weather tool package and spotter network teams members~~ (Posted on 3/5/14)
Better than La Crosee Review by Weatherallthetime
I have had this unit for several weeks and it beats my La Crosse Technology station. BY FAR, the best weather station unit I have ever owned. The rain gauge is incredibly accurate. Down to the .01"!! That is incredible! I am enjoying watchingt he wind cups fly which is funny. It was a pain installing, but it was all worth it. Amazing product! Well done, very well done!! (Posted on 1/15/14)
Absolutely outstanding Review by Nathan
I bought this product no more than about 4-5 weeks ago. It was a little bit of a pain to set up because I wanted it so high, but I can't blame that on the company. So far, I have had an amazing experience with it. The only withdrawal I have with this unit is that there's no backlight and no AC power adaptor. I don't understand why a display with so much power, durability, and information can go without a backlight nor AC adaptor!! Anyways, besides that, I have had absolutely no problems with it. I enjoy it very much. And I'm DYING to see what this does during high wind thunderstorms. Thank you all at AcuRite for making a spectacular product! (Posted on 1/14/14)
very satisfied with product Review by shaggy
Just purchased this unit today and found out it was a snap to set up & calibrate. So far it has given very accurate readings. Have to wait for it to do the 14 day future forcast feature which I'm sure will work as advertised. (Posted on 1/11/14)
Great product Review by Chuck
Being a weather geek, this was a gift from my wife. Love it. Always checking it to monitor conditions, especially when those summer T-storms blow up here in FL. My only issue is that sometimes the humidity reading is a little off. (Posted on 12/31/13)
Not a Good Value for the Money Review by Brian
My first one I had for about 28 days, the humidity and temp stopped working.Ruturned it to the store for a new one. The company wanted me to mail it
back to them at my cost. The second one worked but the humidity was never correct and the temp was incorrect till the sun came up and the solar fan started working. I have had it now over a year, warrenty is up of coarse and now the wind speed is not working and the temp and humidity does't work at all. All told the prouduct leaves a lot to be disired.
I would definatly would not recommend this product to anyone even if it was free. (Posted on 11/24/13)
30 Months Experiance Review by RationalGeezer
My first unit's transmitter failed in 8 months. I checked every variable(e.g.-change batteries, change band selection, change location, etc.); nothing worked. Once I nvinced customer service, they sent me a new unit under warranty. This replacement ran 18 months on a set of batteries. I made the mistake of changing only the outside unit batteries, thinking I would change the indoor unit after the new year (to get the cumulative rainfall numbers right). BIG mistake! Changing only one unit did not solve the "no signal" problem, but changing the indoor unit batteries made it all work. I disassembled the old broken outdoor unit -- brilliant engineering! I salvaged a few of the tiny strong magnets ofr other applications. By the way, the solar panel only runs a fan to circulate air past the internal sensors on a sunny day. I would buy another of these units. 5-stars for engineering and customer service. (Posted on 11/23/13)
What Fun! Review by Sierra Bear
Winters are long here in northeastern California and this weather station is going to help me get through it. I'm looking forward to tracking high/low temps, rainfall, windspeed, etc. The instruction manual is easy to understand and the sensor and display console were easy to set up. The comments about great customer service sealed the deal for me. (Posted on 11/8/13)
Great Product & Great Customer Service Review by steven
My wife purchased this for my birthday last year. Soon after I deployed overseas. When I returned, I noticed the humidity sensor had stopped working. A few emails and a new sensor was delivered to my door.
The sensor seems to predict weather better than the local TV station, and I rely on it to ensure I stay warm and dry, especially important in North Dakota. The signal is strong and I have never had an issue with connectivity. I also like the solar panel to save on batteries! Thank you for making a nice product. (Posted on 9/21/13)
Great product Review by Joseph
A great product so far, except for the fact that the display has no light. Can't believe that a display with all this info has no backlight. Can't see it in low light conditions. The info on package should state this. (Posted on 9/20/13)
Great weather station Review by Carl
After using the 01010 weather station for a month now it works great and seems to be pretty accurate compared to my old LaCross station. I do think the temperature is more accurate due to the aspirated fan. Haven't had enough rain to make a good assessment on the rain gauge. The console gets a good signal through out the house, where the bridge does not get a signal at all. (Posted on 9/5/13)
Good Product but some quality issues Review by Robert
Bottom line is that I bought a second one even though I had some issues with the first, so you know I still felt it was a good buy. My first unit arrived and within 1 day the anemometer cups were sticking. Only a strong breeze would start them turning and then they would stick again. I had to climb up a 30 foot pole to install the weather station so I wasn't happy. Not wanting to deal with what would likely be interminable delays in a warranty claim, I took the unit apart in my shop and discovered that there was some rust on the pin that the cups spin on. Probably happened in the shipping container. I thoroughly cleaned the post with very fine polish and then lubricated first with graphite which didn't work too well and then with some wd-40. I put it back together and it worked like a champ until the blackbirds discovered that they could ride the cups like a merry-go-round and they broke one off with their weight. Anodized aluminum or something would probably be a better choice for the anemometer, but then the price would go up. I bought another unit before the bird incident and put it at my home. It is going strong even with the occasional bird. I was happy to discover that I could get a replacement for the anemometer unit at a fraction of the cost of the whole station and I have done that. I am waiting for a good day to climb back up the pole and install it. I am so happy with these units that I bought the bridge and plan to publish my weather data on the internet for my customers. I own a marina and this will give them access to current conditions wherever they are. (Posted on 8/21/13)
Great buy for the price Review by heep70
Love this thing although it would be nice if the indoor temp was a little bigger in font size. Nothing to much to complain about but would be nice. Customer service is fantastic. Thumbs up for these folks. I have plans on another one for my cabin except I want a back lit type. Good job AcuRite! (Posted on 7/30/13)

great value Review by Razorbacks1
Really impressed so far.The display is crisp. I installed the mounting bracket on a 5 foot 2 by 4, and then on a fence post. The unit sits about12 feet in the air. Instructions are a no brainer, well wrote out. So far so good. (Posted on 7/20/13)
Great Product Review by Charles
Received this weather station for Christmas. I love it. Have added the acu-link bridge. My 5 in 1 worked great for months then had a problem with the humidity. Customer support sent me a new one under warranty. Had it in 3 days, up and running. I love being able to share my weather with others on underground weather. Only thing I don't like is losing your data when you change the batteries in the display. GREAT product. (Posted on 7/15/13)

I feed weather info for our Yacht club and the local TV station.

Great Device Review by anedom
My husband bought this for me as a surprise gift as I am a bit of a weather bug.
It Is easy to install and understand. It has so many different informational settings, computes norms and you can even set an alarm for an upcoming storm.
It is a wonderful little device and is small enough to not be an eyesore.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the weather. (Posted on 7/11/13)

We really like it Review by Deauxboy
We actually bought two. One for the house and one for our travel trailer. Having the weather information at our location is important to us, especially on the road.

Our rainfall at home varies so much around the area we never actually kew how much we received as opposed to the airport.

Now we know!
Recommend it for anyone who likes to know what is going on at their location. (Posted on 6/18/13)
Great Device & Great Customre Service Review by William
This is the second weather system I have had. This one is by far the better and easier system to set up and use. I had the humidity freeze up problem, and with one phone call they replaced the external unit with no hassle and with an honest report of units produced when mine was produced had a generic humidity sensor problem. You can;t beat this type of customer service and we get American-English speaking personnel to easily and politely serve us. KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT PRODUCTS!!! (Posted on 6/13/13)
Pleased With My 1010 5 in 1 Review by Joe
I have had this weather station for 3 weeks and so far I like it. Temperature, humidity and BP are right on with my other weather station. I really like the layout of the display it was well thought out. I am giving it 4 stars because I have to have the solar panel facing North because I live in the desert Southwest and the sun will not hit the solar panel when it is facing south. If the sun does not hit the solar panel the temperature will spike about 10 degrees in the morning and evening. The aspirated fan really does do the job well when facing the sun but since it is facing North this causes my wind direction to be 180 degrees off. Overall I am pleased with it but wish that the position of the solar panel was better thought out in design. Also wish it had a back light but that is not really a big deal. The weather forecast is not very accurate, it shows rain at every drop of pressure. I am thinking of getting the internet bridge in the near future. I will update my review after I have had it for a few months. Overall a great product Acurite. (Posted on 6/9/13)

They went through some diagnostic questions on the phone, and they said I will send you out a new part for that.... Got to love midwest companies. No hassles No headaches, No foreign accents... thanks for not outsourcing customer service...

Great for rural farmhouse Review by Frank
Mounted to a fence post about 30-40 meters from the receiver. It works great, and is much more reliable than the NWS reports, which are from an official station 30 miles away. Even the old steel siding isn't blocking it.

I think mine was one of the earlier production runs with the humidity sensors that sometimes froze up (mine stuck at 98%). Happily, the customer service is great. They asked me to try a few things first, then sent a warranty replacement with zero hassle. I couldn't be happier with the weather station or the company.

Planning to order a second receiver to go with it. (Posted on 5/21/13)

The 01010w Model is Storm Chaser Approved Review by M&M Storm Chasing
The 01010w Model is Storm Chaser Approved.... As team lead and founder for M & M Storm Chasing, a Skywarn member, and one who reports current conditions for broadcast radio, I depend on certain equipment to get the job done. And for the price I couldn't find a better piece of equipment then this. Tested in the field and both at my home and headquarters for my team ( I own two of these) the accuracy is second to none (+/- 2% of the official NWS station at the local airport) no matter what sensor is used. And the best part is it's also compatible with AcuLink Internet Bridge. (Sold separately on AcuLink's website), meaning I can stream the local conditions to the internet for viewing by myself, my team, NWS, the public or anyone, and not to mention even via a phone app. If your looking for a weather station, that works, is priced right, easy to use, and contains all the bells and whistles, look no further Matt Koscielski Founder MMSC (Posted on 5/20/13)
Best I've ever had Review by Bobby
This weather station, honestly is one of the best I've ever owned. I've had it for two whole years now, and never had an issue with it. I own three weather stations, and this one is definitely the most accurate!
With the Acu-link, now its even more fun to use and I can see it anywhere I go which is really fun!
Whats nice is that setting it all up was just a matter of minutes, with the hardest part just trying to find a good spot to locate it. The only issue I have with it is the Future forecasting, It never seems to be very accurate but I don't use it as much as everything else on it. Thank you acurite for an amazing product!
I rccomend this one to anyone who is looking to be a beginner in home weather stations because it is very user friendly (Posted on 1/31/13)

Replacing an Acu-Rite 2 sensor setup Review by Anthony E
This is my third Acu-Rite weather station; the first, (an older model,) went up while still in warranty, the second is having similar problems with the anemometer,(not reporing wind speed.). This is the sixth weather station, I have owned since I began observing the weather. I Was a "Cooperative Weather Observer" for NOAA until I moved to a new locale. This was the easiest station I have ever setup; my first two were hard-wired, a real drag to setup.. I like the new sleaker and easier to read console design; also I like the internal aspiration fan for the temperature sensor. I plan on purchasing the internet bridge so I can post my observations online. For the functionality of this device you can't beat the price. I am looking forward to long use for this station. I am giving only four stars because Acu-Rite has still not added a back light to the display; (this would be very helpful for night observations; in addition, it would help people who have "Low Vision," such as myself read the display easier. It would also be nice to have the clock allow for 24 hour as welll as 12 hour mode. (Posted on 1/14/13)

8" Pro Digital Weather Station Review by Big E
Just order the newly release Bridge for this station. Hoping to get it up on the internet as soon as it get here. The 01010W is a easy set up and works great. And the price i got it for at walmart 5 plus months ago was a steal. $58.00. (Posted on 11/26/12)
Wow this is great! I had a 4 year old weather station that had 5 different sensors and it never did all it was supposed to and cost $500! One replacement sensor was $110. 1 multi-sensor takes the place of ALL of those and everything works! Wind speed right now is 2MPH, the high so far today was 10MPH, record so far is 62MPH. UPdate on 8" Pro Digital Weather Station Review by Big E
Have had this unit for 2 and half months, everything is working fine. I can't believe how great the rainfall gauge is. And the temp gauge is. Wind gauge is good to. It's about 7 feet high. Of course you would get better reading the high you go. But not a problem either. Everything is fine. I had my doubts about buying this at first. I had 3 or 4 others and they would last a little while and quit working. Hoping this last for many years to come. 5 stars as for now. (Posted on 11/1/12)

Great for the price Review by Mark
The price of this weather station can't be beat. It is much more accurate than my previous station. I live at high altitude in Arizona and the sun would always make the daytime temperature readings very inaccurate with my previous station. This station eliminates that with the air circulating fan.

We do get high winds and I wish the 5-in-1 sensor would send the wind information more often. But I do realize it sends the wind info recorded during that 18 seconds. Overall, for the price, this station can't be beat for an average amateur weather guy like myself. (Posted on 7/26/12)
Only one problem.... Review by Bflatcat
A great little device. However, when you change the batteries in the indoor receiver you lose EVERYTHING! This unit needs a button-type battery backup, or a DC transformer input so that data isn't lost when the batteries are replaced. After all, the record does read "All Time." Otherwise it works just fine. (Posted on 7/8/12)
I have had my unit for four days and so far, I like it. Review by AAE14
I have had my unit for four days and so far, I like it. I wanted a higher end unit like the Davis units or better, but can not afford them. This unit so far has been a good compromise. I am an official member of Skywarn and needed a new unit, as my past unit failed after only a couple months. This unit fit the bill and my budget.

I will give an updated review down the road after I have had the unit longer.

excellent unit Review by radman
I love it. Had 3 other brand weather stations and none of them could hold a candle to this one. They were very difficult to get set up and would crap out with the least little reaason. The last one, I hooked up to wire and elimnated the wireless connection and still couldn't get it to work right. This one set up almost too easily. No problem in 14 days I've had it going. Only one issue... Review by WhIzAtIt
Everything couldnt be better all is well and easy to understand and install. HOWEVER it would be nice to have a mounting bracket that allows to clear roof installations to allow for shingle overhang. I simply built a 2' X 3" L shape bracket out of 3/4" steel pipe and mounted it to the eve of the house using a flange and painted it. Other than that i havent seen any imperfections with the unit. I cant wait till the Acu-Link Internet Bridge: Monitor AcuRite Sensors Remotely (Ethernet) 09150TRX is available as i plan to get a pool sensor and another temp sensor to put in the attic to monitor those locations! A company that backs up it's products-period! Review by Stephen J
Received the model 1010 for Christmas, installed it, a week later the wind cups stopped spinning. Called the company up, less than two weeks later I received my new 5-1 sensor- works great!!!!

After the 14 day period, it seems to give a better forcast then the one I receive on my local weather t.v. broadcast! Very reasonable in price. Definatelly would recommend. (Posted on 2/23/12)
Chaney is an amazing company. Review by Ray B. in Virginia
I have had 2 La Crosse Weather Stations. I didn't get good service from either of them. They cost me more and didn't come close to being the quality of your Acurite Weather Station. Your station broadcasts from much longer distances to the in house unit. The functions that are displayed are so complete that a professional weather forecast could be made from the displayed information. However, I am most impressed by how you stand behind your product. I received a defective La Crosse Unit and it was going to cost me almost as much as I paid for it to send it back for repairs. If you have someone who is deciding between brands of weather stations, have them contact me and I will point out all the features of the Acurite Weather Station. Thanks for providing such quality products and service. (Posted on 1/10/12)
Always wanted one Review by Brian UK
Just returned from visit to Nebraska during which time my son bought me this weather station. After a long trip home, taking great care of my new 01010, I installed it today and I am very pleased with the ease of fitting at setting. 14 more days to wait and I am going to be a happy met. man. One small problem, how can I calibrate the pressure reading to compensate for the height above sea level at which the sensor is installed ? (Posted on 1/10/12)

Great Weather Station Review by taz
Recieved this weather station for Christmas and I completely love it. I love all the features but the most important, completely wireless. The one I was using wasn't so when I got this one it is perfect for me. It didn't take me 15 minutes to set it up and now I'm letting the 14-day learniong period to finish. So far everything seems to be working correctly! I would highly recommend this weather station to anyone who is really into the weather and keeping track of the weather. (Posted on 12/27/11)
Great Weather Station, But....... Review by Mike Miller
Love everything about the weather station except for the pressure. I have had this for 2 weeks and waited till our pressure dropped to 29.92 and set the pressure. Now 10 days later our real pressure is 30.01 but, the weather station is reading 29.77. I am a weather watcher for our TV station and need for it to be accurate. I have two other older weather stations that were cheaper and there pressure stays exact and allows for it to be manually calibrated. Considering pressure is the biggest factor in determining weather, seems like this would be top priority on the weather station. Great product besides that.... (Posted on 12/5/11)
Go for it, great value Review by wheelnut
I looked for weeks at many weather stations. When I saw the1010 it jumped right out and said buy me. Just ONE box to mount outside, easy! I took down an old TV antenna and mounted it on top of the antenna pole. The tripod was already there. Great display that tells me everything I would want to know about the weather. It still has to go through the test of time. (Posted on 12/2/11)
Love it Review by Doug
First wind sensor that really works. This is my 5th weather station. Would recommend it to others. The other 4 were duds. (Posted on 11/4/11)

Awesome Product! Review by Dan
Picked up the WS on Saturday, had it installed in two hours! Works great, even compared it to my National Weather Service and it was right on. Do pay attention where you place the display console; lost the signal when it was to close to my computer and TV. Moved it far enough away now.... (Posted on 10/17/11)
Sweet! Review by Edzsled
Great for novice weather junkies like me. Love the wireless multiple readings from one unit. Mounted 1" PVC inside 10' x 1 1/4" conduit piping. Sensor unit mounts right to PVC & conduit piping mounted to side of carport frame. Sensor unit is about 13 to 14 feet off the ground & I get full strength readings. Can't wait to get some real "weather". Problem is, I can't find my users manual~...... (Posted on 10/7/11)
Power to the People Review by Barry
Simple straight-foward installation and set-up
Controls and switches very logical, intuitive and easy to use
Lot of really cool features
Good documentation and instructions
Flexable--several neighbors are buying the reciever to piggy-back off of my sensors

NOTE: Only use new high quality batteries ( Energizer Ultamate Lithium) to avoid and minimize problems.

I am going to upgrade to the 1050 as soon as they are available and will give this unit to my sister. (Posted on 9/26/11)
Great Beginner Weather Station before going to a professional system Review by Project23D
I've had this unit for since May 2011 and it works wonderful. The outdoor weather unit is about 12ft off the ground, and the signal to the readout display is always full strength.

I like the fact it displays the highs and lows, plus keeps records, and that its was designed to sit on a table or the like and can be read from an angle.

It is rather accurate, very comparable with the local airport weather reports. (Posted on 9/15/11)
Love IT! Review by Kevin
I love my new equipment. Can't beat the price for a station with every thing built into one unit. It was simple to use a 5' joint of 3/4" black steel water supply pipe that is the same OD measurement as the plastic factory mounting tube. I drilled two small holes into the pipe for the factory set screws the used a 3/4" black steel 90° elbow and floor flange to screw the 5' pipe to the eave of my house to get it above the peak of the roof. Love love love it guys, thanks. (Posted on 9/11/11)
Great product and unbeatable value Review by Timothy
Picked this unit up at Walmart and I could not be happier. Extremely accurate and very easy to setup. (Posted on 9/7/11)
Impressive Weather Station for the Price Review by Tim
I've had this station running for over 3 weeks now and couldn't be more pleased. Total integration of 5 outdoor sensors in one wireless unit makes installation easy. And the fan aspirated temp and humidity sensors is a nice professional touch.
The LCD display unit is no less impressive with plain readouts of all sensors outside, as well as barometric, temperature, and humidity sensors of its own. A very well thought out and complete weather station Highly recommended. :) (Posted on 9/3/11)
