Very good unit Review by C. May
Value

This is a great unit that I purchased from 3rd party retailer in 03/2008, noticing that I paid $34.97 back then and they want $54.99 from this site. I would say a major concern for these things is battery use, I bought another smaller one (different company?) the same day and that one seems to use batteries faster which makes it blink annoyingly. I would, and am contemplating buying another one for another room of the house. Just don't want to pay an additional $20 (plus shipping) if I don't have to. Otherwise excellent product!

Great Value - Very Accurate & Reliable Review by bbodie52

I've had the unit (purchased at Lowe's) in use at my home for over a year now with no problems at all. It works perfectly. I did replace the batteries in the remote sensor and in the display unit after they had been in service for one year. Still going strong, accurate in time and temperature (indoor and outside). I would highly recommend this unit.

Can't review yet... Review by Jerry

Just got mine installed a few hours ago, everything is working as it should except I show no signal strength at all with the Atomic Clock Reception Indicator. 4 bars with the outside temp indicator. Will wait until in the morning to see if it changes overnight.

Works Very Well, Good Price! Review by CQ DX
Value

It works very well, and is very easy to set up and use. I own four weather stations (i'm a gadget nut), and this one was the easiest to use by far. The LCD display panel is nice and big, so consequently the sizeable numbers are easy on the eyesight. Accuracy is on par with one of my more expensive, 'higher end' LaCrosse Technology weather units, which is reassuring. For accuracy, my remote outdoor sensor unit is placed on an outdoor bedroom window sill between the screen and window on a shady side of the house. This way, there is enough outdoor air circulating around the sensor unit to help insure accuracy. Also, I really like the fact that the unit also constantly displays minimum and maximum temperatures for the day right next to the current indoor and outdoor temps. The packaging and instruction manual were also top-notch. Nice graphics on the box, and no twist ties to undo, or blister packs to rip open. Just unscrew the 2 plastic holders on the back of the box, and tear aside the cardboard surrounding the unit encased in easy to remove plastic. Ingenious, and convenient for the consumer- more companies should package like 'Acu-Rite'! I highly recommend this weather unit, and feel it is one of the best 'bang per buck' units available for the price I got it for.

love the devise, but one problem. owned about 5 years and main sensor went blank. changed all batteries, still blank, called acurite, and told life of unit is 2-7 years. don't know if i read that in instructions. be aware, life of unitsare not that long. still, it's a good product.

Great weather station Review by CJ
Value

Bought this acurite weather station at a lowes building center. very easy to set up.
great reception with the transmitter, i live in apartment so the transmitter has to go through many walls to reach the weather station. the weather station is top notch with the time date and temp. the forecast is extremely accurate with very minimal unaccurate readings, and i would rate the accuracy with the forecast at about 95%

Overall great job Accurite! very impressed. I would recommend this station to anyone.

ACURITE 75077 Review by John in Georgia

I got this as a house warming present 5 years ago. I am using the original batteries. This is one of those items we take for granted until we need them. I look at mine first thing in the morning so I know how to plan my outdoor activities, and last at night to see what the high/low was for the day. I would have to rate this weather station a 10 out of 10 because I am totally satisfied. I am on this site today looking for a second one to mount in my master bathroom.

Nice features and size, great accuracy, Review by Comdet

I looked at several mini weather stations, and this offered the best blend of features and size. It's not fully-featured with regard to measurements, offering only the basics (time, inside/outside temp, day/date and forecast). But the size is such that all the data are readable from a few feet away, making it perfect to hang on the wall. Others I've tried had so much info that you could only read it if you were very close to the unit (and even then some were hard to read). No legibility problems with this whatsoever.

Zero problems with set-up, with the remote unit transmitting to the main unit within a few moments of putting in the batteries. It also provides a signal strength meter for both the outside sensor and the atomic clock, so you can try out various positions to see which gives the best signal path. I positioned the outside sensor about 50 feet away without any loss of signal strength.

Temperature accuracy is spot-on. The min/max feature is very useful. I wish it offered humidity readings as well, but can live without that to keep the screen uncluttered and easy to read.

The forecasting feature is pretty accurate. It misses now and again, but for the most part, it provides an accurate (if only a general) forecast of what will occur over the next 12 to 24 hours. Much more accurate than similar forecasting devices I've used from La Crosse.

My only complaint is with the external sensor. It uses 4 rather tiny screws that have to be removed/replaced to change out the battery. You have to do this with care using the right size screwdriver or you'll strip the screws. Also, the mounting options for the sensor are limited (just a keyhole type hanger). The one good thing about the La Crosse units is that the external sensor comes with a better hanger and an easier to open battery compartment.

Those quibbles aside, this is an excellent, easily legible unit that is highly recommended.

Great device!, Review by A. Troya
Value

I received this wireless weather station a few days ago. Set up was easy and quick. Even though it has a "14 day learning" mode, the device has been pretty accurate. I live with elderly parents and like that the icons and numbers are large and fairly easy to read. I only wish the instruction manual included a short description for the different forecast pictures/icons. Because it doesn't, I'm giving this product 4 instead of 5 stars. :)

This product works as advertised. You can't ask for more than that. Very handy, easy to read and understand. and easy to set up, and I use the clock to set all the other clocks in the house. If it breaks I will buy another one.
