Great device - but it could use a backlight Review by MDC in TN

I own several professional barometers and this device's barometric pressure readings are within .01 or .02 inHG. After two years, it works perfectly well and my only frustration is the absence of a Contrast control to help see the display when the sunlight from nearby windows causes the screen to gray-out. Also, I have opted to hang a small Streamlight next to the device so I can get a reading when the house is dark. A backlight would be nice.

I bought mine 6 months ago. Works great. Forecast is dead on. Temp can range a degree or 2 but I would say it just depends on where you place it. I love mine.

It's all there for a quick report. Tracking the BP for past 10 hours is great and most often the whole story! Indeed a backlight would be nice but happy with it as it is. Would purchase again.

I had bought this weather forecaster and found out it was defective. acurite was very supportive and helped me out to the end. I registered my product and they sent me a new replacement at no charge to me! they even paid for the shipping! I would recommend acurite to everybody! I would also recommend for anybody who buys acurite products to register there product. registering ur product will give u warranty. thanks acurite.

Well what can I say other then perfect product. Bought it off acurite and shipping was super fast. I live in Canada so I was surprised how fast it came. Weather forecast is so accurate it almost scares me lol. It's been accurate ever since it calibrated. whether its sunny, partly sunny ,rain or wet snow its right on the dot with accuracy. Barometer is reasonably close to the pressure on my anaroid barometers. Temps great. Overall it is a great weather station. I would recommend this station to anyone.

The weather forecast is more accurate than on TV or computer,
And i can't believe i bought it new for $26!!!
Temperature is good, (not perfectly exact but 1-2 degrees warmer than it actually is)
Everything else is perfect!
I'm very happy.

Very easy to setup. Very accurate temp. readings. The screen is easy to read. If you want a backlight you will have to check out different models. I went with this one because it doesn't have a backlight to chew up the batteries. Just depends what you want for features and how oftern you want to change the batteries. I bought mine at Wal-Mart, they have the same models for $10 cheaper. Very happy with this product.
