- Replacing an Acu-Rite 2 sensor setup Review by Anthony E
-
Value This is my third Acu-Rite weather station; the first, (an older model,) went up while still in warranty, the second is having similar problems with the anemometer,(not reporing wind speed.). This is the sixth weather station, I have owned since I began observing the weather. I Was a "Cooperative Weather Observer" for NOAA until I moved to a new locale. This was the easiest station I have ever setup; my first two were hard-wired, a real drag to setup.. I like the new sleaker and easier to read console design; also I like the internal aspiration fan for the temperature sensor. I plan on purchasing the internet bridge so I can post my observations online. For the functionality of this device you can't beat the price. I am looking forward to long use for this station. I am giving only four stars because Acu-Rite has still not added a back light to the display; (this would be very helpful for night observations; in addition, it would help people who have "Low Vision," such as myself read the display easier. It would also be nice to have the clock allow for 24 hour as welll as 12 hour mode.

Value Our family gave my wife and me the 1010W 5-in-1 station for Christmas. It is great! We have since added the internet bridge which completes the package. The whole family likes the access to our backyard weather on their iPads and iPhones.

- TECHNOLOGY MOVES ON Review by Ben

Value Wow this is great! I had a 4 year old weather station that had 5 different sensors and it never did all it was supposed to and cost $500! One replacement sensor was $110. 1 multi-sensor takes the place of ALL of those and everything works! Wind speed right now is 2MPH, the high so far today was 10MPH, record so far is 62MPH.

Value Have had this unit for 2 and half months, everything is working fine. I can't believe how great the rainfall gauge is. And the temp gauge is. Wind gauge is good to. It's about 7 feet high. Of course you would get better reading the high you go. But not a problem either. Everything is fine. I had my doubts about buying this at first. I had 3 or 4 others and they would last a little while and quit working. Hoping this last for many years to come. 5 stars as for now.
