- Nice way to monitor temperature inside and out Review by Frederick Hansen
-
Value We had a unit that would speak the temperature every hour and did a sort of emergency announcement when the temp hit 32 degrees. We had the wire out the window for the sensor - after 8 years it finally went bonkers and started announcing the emergency temp - non-stop. Tried new batteries and resetting but the female voice was fixed on the stupid announcement . So we retired "her" voice and bought this one. It works fine, Although the old unit showed the humidity , which was useful. Now we have silence and no wire out the window. We sort of miss the weather lady's hourly visit though. We put the sensor out on our greenhouse/shop porch wall, covered from the weather and in shade, so the readings are conservative, but very helpful for choosing clothing for the day.

- Still working perfectly after 10 years Review by D. Karras

Value Have had this device for over 10 years (different model number, same appearance and features). I've changed the outside batteries about once a year, the indoor batteries maybe 4 times. I've never had a problem. It's tucked under a deck ledge to shield it from the weather, which has probably helped.
Regarding the criticism that it's off a few degrees ... maybe ... I don't really care, and I don't try to calibrate it against a dozen other devices for accuracy. There are so many variables in measuring outdoor temperature, I can't imagine that 4 degrees either way makes a difference.(Posted on 1/26/12)
- Light button features saves Review by Alisha Williams

Value I really like this Wireless Weather Thermometer, it is easy to read and the best feature is the light button, you don't have to turn the light on in the room to see the temperature, you actually have a light button. I compared it with anotther thermometer I have and it is quite accurate.
