Product Review (submitted on January 26, 2012):

Have had this device for over 10 years (different model number, same appearance and features). I've changed the outside batteries about once a year, the indoor batteries maybe 4 times. I've never had a problem. It's tucked under a deck ledge to shield it from the weather, which has probably helped.

Regarding the criticism that it's off a few degrees ... maybe ... I don't really care, and I don't try to calibrate it against a dozen other devices for accuracy. There are so many variables in measuring outdoor temperature, I can't imagine that 4 degrees either way makes a difference.
