works great when all you want to do is check the weather and dont want to hear it all the time. life of batteries while on was 3 days but if u dont have it playing and have it on standby then they last longer

Just happened to be lucky enough to find it on sale. It has proved to be the exact radio I have been looking for. I wanted to be able to take it into my storm shelter to not only know what is going on, but when safe to exit the shelter. This one is a keeper. (Posted on 5/11/12)
