I shopped everywhere to find just the right clock for my outdoor patio. I have had the clock a year now because I haven't spent the time to shop again for another clock however the clock has run fast ever since I purchased it. So fast that the clock is worthless in regards to using it to tell what time it is. For example I sent the clock accurately about 1 month ago and today it is 35 minutes fast. Also I was very disappointed to find that the color of the inside of the lock has changed. This is an outdoor clock and I do not have it in direct sunlight, it is under a shaded patio and the sun never directly hits the clock. However the inside that you can see in this photo is pictured light beige now had a light blue tint to it, the numbers and the leaf in the background. So now not only does it not tell the time it doesn't match my patio furnishings since it changed color. I purchased the clock here directly from AcuRite and unfortunately I couldn't remember when I purchased it until now but I am out of my one year warranty so I will be searching for a new clock.
This is the second such clock I have purchased. The hands on the first one did not stay attached to the clock mechanism and could not be "gently" put back into position. The diameter of the hole punched in the hands was simply not close enough to hold the mechanism. Thinking this was just one of those things, my wife saw a second one and purchased it. This one lasted about six weeks and yesterday she noticed the hour hand was hanging straight down at the six. Same problem, the length of the hands overcomes the friction that should hold them in place. BTW, I also have a little 75077A3 weather station. It's great. throw batteries at it once a year and it's happy.
This product gives you some good information- the time, the temperature, and the humidity. I like the subtle design on the face of the clock- it looks great without sticking out like a sore thumb. We have ours on the patio, but I bet this would look great on a porch or deck as well.
