    radio
If you press the Alarm button momentarily, the clock will go through the "seek radio signal" routine and try to set the time from it. Oddly, the user manual doesn't mention this feature. Also, like every radio-setting clock it will take a good few minutes to download the time code - the low frequency radio signal transmits it at only 1 bit per second! So prepare to see the T followed by 1 to 4 bars FLASHING for a few minutes after you press the button, while the clock is downloading the time code. If you see only 1 bar after the T chances are you will have to wait until the nightime when the signal is better, although you could try repositiioning the clock.

      OK
Clock seems to keep accurate time. It has nice big numerals and is easy to set with separate hour and minute settings and settings that flash by fast if you hold the button down or go by one by one, if you press the button momentarily. I haven't seen it connect to the nist radio station yet. The backlight is uneven. Dark on left, brighter on right. I'm not happy with the design of the alarm. At first it sound single tones about a second apart, then you hear them repeated 1/2 second apart, then it goes into about 4 beeps per second for - a minute. They are adequately loud at his point. But if you don't press the snooze button within that minute - it is all over - the alarm tone will not sound again until 24 hours later. It is not persistant enough to make sure I wake up. I need an alarm that keeps sounding for at least several minutes, or I will fall back to sleep before I am awake enough to hit the snooze button.

        Great Clock
I purchased this clock having owned one previously (different model). I had a great experience with the last one and would have loved to have kept it. Lost in the divorce. I wanted another but saw this model and had a great experience with it. I live in Arizona, where we do not change our clocks and this clock was accurate for over three years. Now I have to change the batteries for the first time since I bought it. I would purchase another without hesitation.

          Great little clock
I bought this clock several years ago at Walmart, I've not yet had to change the batteries! it still has the original set I put in the day I bought it! , I bought it as an alarm clock, but the only down fall is it's not loud enough for me! so Instead I use it in my living room as an extra clock, and to use it as a thermostat, since my house thermostat is never right, using this I know the true temperature of my house . This clock has also taken a beating and keeps on tickin' - I have it sitting on my t.v. stand and my cat knocks it off at least 3 times a day! it has not one single bump, break, crack, looks brand new like the day I took it out of its package.

the face of the clock is large enough for me to see from across the room - and I don't have the best eye sight in the world. I have never had to set it and it's perfect for when the power is out and I need to know what time it is.

I would recommend this clock to any one who doesn't sleep like the dead like I do :)

            Question clock usefulness
I like the clock. However, who ever heard of manually setting an atomic clock? I live about 3 miles from the atomic clock setting station for the mountain time zone. My atomic wall clock set itself as soon as it could communicate with the station. I am lucky, I can set this clock to my other one. Does anyone else want to know what the real time is?
