AcuRite Expands the Monitoring Capabilities of its AcuLink Platform with New Rain Monitoring Systems.

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin – February, 2015 – AcuRite, the leader in time, temperature and weather instruments, has announced the launch of its line of Rain Monitoring Systems that build off the capabilities of AcuRite’s AcuLink remote monitoring platform. Redefining how consumers stay connected with the places and things they care about, AcuLink enables users to observe indoor and outdoor elements including temperature, humidity, wind, rainfall, atmospheric pressure, the weather forecast and more. Each Rain Monitoring System includes a rain gauge sensor that wirelessly transmits rainfall measurements to the system’s AcuLink Internet Bridge, where the data can be viewed from a PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet or tabletop display.

Your rain sensor data can be monitored privately, shared with family and neighbors, or be reported to online weather communities. The AcuLink online portal and app feature a customizable dashboard and intuitive user interface, designed for easy trend observation, graphic charting, and historical data storage. Personal precipitation information is useful for making decisions about the amount of watering your lawn or garden requires. Get notified of changing conditions by email or text message using AcuLink’s programmable alerts, which can be triggered by events like flood conditions and oncoming storms. AcuLink is accessible at AcuLink.com, and can be downloaded as a free app for Apple iOS and Android mobile devices.

How it works
• Sets up easily within minutes.
• AcuLink compatible sensors can be positioned outdoors or indoors in the location(s) you’d like to monitor conditions.
• Once positioned, the sensor(s) wirelessly transmit data to the AcuLink Internet Bridge.
• The AcuLink Internet Bridge plugs into your Internet router and reports your sensor data to “the cloud”, or AcuLink servers.
• Access AcuLink from a mobile device by downloading the free app from the iPhone App Store or Google Play.
• AcuLink can be accessed on a PC, laptop or tablet with a web browser by visiting www.aculink.com.

Each AcuLink Internet Bridge can receive data from up to (3) three AcuRite sensors simultaneously. A variety of AcuLink compatible sensors are available, allowing users to customize their system to coincide with their lifestyle and interests.
