    The AcuRite Optimus is a sleek, all-in-one outdoor weather sensor that delivers precise hyperlocal data straight to the Wi-Fi HD Display (sold separately) or your mobile device via the all-new AcuRite NOW app. It captures six key weather conditions in real time — temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction, plus lightning detection — without the need for additional sensors. Built with automotive-grade materials and a pest-repellant chamber, the sensor is ultra-durable and requires minimal maintenance. Its compact, low-profile design fits seamlessly into any outdoor space, making it ideal for apartments or HOA-restricted properties. The Optimus integrates effortlessly with smart-home devices to automate weather-based tasks. An internal aspirating fan ensures maximum accuracy, and the product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty for added peace of mind.

What began as concept drawings more than five years ago has evolved into the Optimus Weather Station. We set out to create the best next-generation weather station.

Our Sleekest Design Ever

We wanted the Optimus Weather Station to have a much smaller profile, but maintain our industry setting accuracy.

It's about the same height as popular smart phones, and with the wind speed and direction arms folded out, it's about as wide as a laptop.

BTW, we did say the arms fold out! Scroll down to find out why we did that.

Why Foldout Arms?

We really wanted to design a weather station that reduced our packaging footprint. We accomplished that by having the wind vane and anemometer arms folded inward during shipping.

Just pop the arms out when you install the sensor and they snap in place. You can even lock them with provided screws if you are in a high wind environment. Looking at you Mount Washington!

This also improves accuracy by spacing out the weather sensing components without additional hardware and installation challenges. Another plus from the product design team!
