Unit works and the pc connect works. The pc connect requires the pc to be powered 24/7 to use the web app. my biggest complaint with the display is that if you chose to hang it on the wall instead of using the desk stand, if your line of sight is lower than the display( even 1 inch) the numbers disappear. You have to be level with or higher than the display. I can read mine until i set down in the chair.
The packaging was not clear that you need to have your computer linked 24/7 to the system so that you can monitor your weather station from your cell phone. This was clarified when I talked to tech support. I was told that a "hub" is available for $79 or $89, and that is what I paid for the entire system. I feel that the company should offer me some sort of no-cost remedy and then update their packaging disclosures. Other than this issue, the unit is actually quite impressive.
I've had this station now for over a month. I would highly recommend it. It is very easy to set up and the readings are very accurate (I compared the temperature, humidity, and wind speed to what the weather channel was listing and the numbers were very close.
