Temperature and Humidity

AcuRite's most accurate temperature sensor utilizes three solar panels to power an internal fan that disperses radiant heat and measures temperatures from -40 °F to 158 °F (-40 °C to 70 °C) within 1 °F (0.56 °C) and 2% humidity accuracy.

Ultraviolet and Light Intensity Measuring

Sunburns

Minimize your family's exposure to harmful solar rays with real-time updates of current UV conditions.

It's For Your Health

In addition to sunburn, be aware of other health risks, such as eye damage and skin cancer associated with high levels of UV exposure.

Plants, Garden, and Lawn

Grow healthier plants with clear insight of the sun's impact; easily track seasonal trends and measure hours of daylight.

Always be in the know. Get alerts to your phone or email when UV intensity is above a specific threshold.

Water Leak Surveillance

Flooded Basement or Backyard

Heavy downpours can saturate the lawn and soil, which can force the water into your basement or crawlspace.

Leaky Appliance
or Sink

Avoid costly water damage by enabling alerts for sensors placed in areas that are typically prone to leaks, such as the water heater, sump pump, or kitchen sink.

Damaged Valuables in Storage

Get notified at the first detection of water in your attic or crawlspace to protect your stored possessions.

Always be in the know. Get alerts when water is detected in problem areas.

Indoor Home Temperature and Humidity Tracking

Optimize Home
Heating and Cooling

Identify leaky windows or doors, and know when it's best to open the windows or run the AC.

Maintain Healthy
Living Conditions

Mildew growth is higher under humid environments. Have loved ones with respiratory issues? Protect them by knowing when to run the humidifier or dehumidifier.

Keep Valuables
Safe

Photos, instruments, and wood furniture; most items in storage have a narrow threshold for optimal temperature and humidity.

Always be in the know. Get alerts when living conditions become unsafe.

Water, Soil, and Spot-Check Temperature Monitoring

Pools, Hot Tubs, Ponds

Whether it's kids in the pool, parents in the hot tub, or koi in the decorative pond, easily track water temperatures to keep everyone comfortable.

Four-Legged Friends

Also nurture the other animals in your home, whether they're in an aquarium, terrarium, or cage.

Gardens and Plants

Track the spring thaw, cover the plants during a hard freeze, or give them an extra drink in high heat with real-time soil temperature updates.

Always be in the know. Get alerts when water temperatures become unsafe or soil conditions become unstable.

Wind Monitoring

Storm Potential

Monitor and track increasing wind speeds, changing or shifting wind directions, and gusting winds to have a heads-up on an approaching storm.

Property Damage

Know when to batten down the hatches. From weak windows to old shingles or siding, be prepared before wind wreaks havoc on your home.

Gardens and Plants

After overwatering, wind damage is the next biggest threat to your large crops, bushes, and trees.

Always be in the know. Get alerts when wind gusts exceed your defined threshold.

Rainfall Tracking

Storm Totals

From rainfall rate to rainfall totals, know exactly how much water your lawn, garden, or yard has received.

Flooded Basement
or Backyard

Heavy downpours can saturate the lawn and soil, which can force water into your basement. Stay on top of rainfall totals to prevent or prepare for a potential flood.

Lawn, Gardens,
and Plants

Overwatering is the largest threat to plants. Monitor and track rainfall totals to adjust watering needs as necessary.

Always be in the know. Get alerts when rainfall totals exceed your designated high-water mark.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your AcuRite Atlas display is no longer updating or displaying data correctly, it’s always good troubleshooting to start with a fresh set of batteries in your AcuRite Atlas outdoor device. If that doesn’t fix the problem, please see additional steps to reset your AcuRite Atlas display here.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. For example, placing your weather station over a black surface or near a heat vent will likely result in temperature measurements that are warmer than the actual observed temperature. Check out this page for more tips and tricks for accurate temperature and humidity measurements.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. Wind data may not be entirely accurate if your weather station is located next to any obstacles that may block the wind speed or direction from any direction. Wide open spaces are most ideal for accurate wind readings. Learn more about inaccurate wind speed or direction data from your AcuRite Atlas here.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. Rainfall data may not be entirely accurate if your weather station is located under a tree or awning, for example. We have additional tools and tips if your Atlas is not reporting any rainfall data, or if your rain data looks incorrect, you may need to calibrate your rain sensor.

The optional Atlas lightning sensor detects cloud-to-cloud lightning as well as cloud-to-ground lightning. So you may not be able to see or hear lightning strikes for the sensor to detect lightning up to 25 miles away. If you think your lightning sensor has errors, situate your Atlas outdoor device away from anything that may cause interference and false lightning detection. Learn more about how to optimize your lightning sensor by checking out our troubleshooting tips for your lightning sensor.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. Light intensity data and UV data may not be entirely accurate if your weather station is located under a tree, awning, or even near a tall building or fence that may shade the sensor from the sun at different times of the year. Make sure to check the sun angles several times throughout the year for optimal light data. Visit our support page for additional tips for improving your UV and light intensity data.

You can use an optional SD card in your AcuRite Atlas display as an additional data storage option. Please visit our support page for specific SD card information, such as formatting and size.

You should have received the Quick Start guide to help you set up your display. If you’ve lost it or need additional setup tips, see the support page for our Wi-Fi displays.

You can find all common troubleshooting information on our AcuRite Atlas support page. We also encourage you to peruse the AcuRite support site for other related questions you may have.
