Frequently Asked Questions

If your AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) display is no longer updating or displaying data correctly, it’s always good troubleshooting to start with a fresh set of batteries in your AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) outdoor device. If that doesn’t fix the problem, please see additional steps for AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) display reset or HD display reset.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. For example, placing your weather station over a black surface or near a heat vent will likely result in temperature measurements that are warmer than the actual observed temperature. Check out this page for more information on accurate temperature and humidity measurements, such as temperatures reporting too hot.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. Wind data may not be entirely accurate if your weather station is located next to any obstacles that may block the wind speed or direction from any direction. Wide open spaces are most ideal for accurate wind readings. Learn more about inaccurate wind speed or direction data from your AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) here.

Always try to follow the weather station installation guidelines for accurate weather data. Rainfall data may not be entirely accurate if your weather station is located under a tree or awning, for example. We have additional tools and tips if your Iris is not reporting any rainfall data, or if your rain data looks incorrect, you may need to calibrate your rain sensor.

You should have received the Quick Start guide to help you set up your display. If you’ve lost it or need additional setup tips, see the support page for our Wi-Fi displays. If you’ve gone through these steps and still need help, you can look through AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Wi-Fi Display calibration information.

If your lightning sensor is blinking yellow, or if you believe your sensor is picking up erroneous lightning data, then your sensor might be experiencing interference. Try to relocate your sensor at least 3 feet away from any electronics or fluorescent light figures. See this full list of interference sources.

If you are interested in replacing your temperature and humidity board on your AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) outdoor device, you need to ensure you have the correct unit. Please visually inspect the unit for the correct logo, battery compartment, and compatible model numbers listed here.

You can find all common troubleshooting information on our AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) support page. We also encourage you to peruse the AcuRite support site for other related questions you may have.
