In 1958, the Chaney Instrument Co. built the “Largest Glass Tube Thermometer in the World” in front of its factory in downtown Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and dedicated it to World Peace. As part of our 80th Anniversary Celebration in 2023, we decided to create a limited-production run of this historic thermometer — albeit a tad bit smaller than the original!
This indoor/outdoor AcuRite thermometer stands 7 inches and measures temperatures from -20 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It features design notes from the original 1958 thermometer and a durable, weather-resistant construction for protection against the elements. The included screws and integrated keyholes allow you to easily hang this thermometer within your house, in the garage or shed, or on the patio outside. The red, mineral spirit-filled tube is easy to read and nontoxic. Own a part of AcuRite and thermometer history with this 7-inch replica of the Largest Glass Tube Thermometer in the World!
